MEET SOUTH SIDE DRUM MAJOR FOR RACIAL AND SOCIAL JUSTICE

Ours is a historic Black Freedom Church voice within the emergent Citizens Caucus for Police Reform (CCPR) that is itself one of the panoply of predominantly Black protest groups spawned-at the grassroots-by recent revelations surrounding African American teenager Laquan McDonald's murder, in cold blood, by a White Chicago police officer, aided and abetted by the predominantly Euro-American Chicago Police Department's long-standing racialized culture on the one hand and the institutional racism of the City as a whole and State of Illinois on the other.
